About Thierry CORET

After spending 20 years in the corporate world in marketing, corporate communication, digital marketing, public relations, sales management, business strategy and go-to-market planning, I have decided to embark on an entrepreneurial journey in the field of marketing and communication consulting.
During my two decade long career, I have worked at Microsoft for 7 years during which I was a Senior Marketing & Communication Manager for the Indian Ocean, French Pacific and African territories. I was also an Operations Marketing Manager at Coca-Cola Africa, and a Sales & Marketing Manager at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). ​I worked for MCB Consulting as Head of Sales support, Business Development, Marketing and Communication, and for SBM bank as Group Head of Marketing & Communication for Mauritius, India, Kenya, Madagascar and Seychelles.
Throughout my career, I have acquired professional experiences in 7 industries namely, technology, banking & finance, consulting, fast-moving consumer goods, logistics, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.​ As a hobby, I am a part-time lecturer in branding, marketing and corporate communications for Master's degree programmes at several universities based out of Mauritius, and I enjoy practising martial arts. ​
I am a State of Mauritius Postgraduate Scholar with a MSc in Marketing Management from the University of Surrey in UK, and I have a First Class BSc (Hons) Management with specialisation in Marketing Management from the University of Mauritius. I hold a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) in Ireland, and I have certifications from INSEAD, Google and Microsoft Marketing Academy-Northwestern University, USA, in Business Strategy and Financial Acumen, Digital Marketing and Marketing respectively. ​
I enjoy advising businesspeople who are open-minded in their approach to scale up their businesses in a sustainable manner and to explore uncharted waters to become pioneers in what others relinquished. Among the key marketing and business development projects I worked on are brand building and demand-generation marketing campaigns, rebranding, digital transformation, growth strategies, channel development, content marketing, product marketing and pay-per-click marketing strategies to build brand equity, generate pipeline and accelerate conversion rates to scale up businesses exponentially. ​
